Hey everyone!

New feature: custom commands

Admins can now create custom ingame commands. You can set delay, timeout, cost of the command.

For example: $discord -

say linkToDiscord

You can execute multiple commands by separating with ";"

say "Here is one message";say "Here is the second!"

You have access to the players steam and entity ID with "${steamId}" and "${entityId}"

sayplayer ${entityId} "WAZAAAAAAAAAAAAA"

Full example

$safehouse

teleplayer ${entityId} 15 85 -53; sayplayer ${steamId} "You are safe now."

Let me know if you make anything cool with this, would love some examples for in the docs ^^

Hey everyone!

There's been a bug in CSMM for a while where a players profile is sometimes duplicated in the system.

This causes the system to throw errors when it's looking up a specific player (cause it only expects one result) and it causes funny business with currency and teleports or when looking up players with the discord commands.

However! I believe to have found the issue and fixed it. There are still doubled profiles left over though and I have no easy way to find them.

So, if you notice any weird stuff / features not working (status command, player teleport no response, ...). Please make a ticket and I'll fix it asap.

Another new command:

top

Replaces the old toptime command. Top can do alot more!

top type amount

Type can be : zombies, players, deaths, playtime, score, level or currency (patrons ;))
Amount by default is 10 but can be between 3 and 20

So for example:

top zombies 
top zombies 5
top deaths 17
top playtime 15

You can set a teleport delay now. This is to make sure players can't use tele to escape death easily

Hello everyone! Big news today :)

New feature: analytics

In your user dashboard, you'll find a new link to the analytics feature. Numbers, oooh!

Public beta and donators

Private beta has gone very well, so I'm now opening CSMM up to the world! I will wait to do a full on release for a little while longer.

To any new users; check out the docs and if you're still confused, happy to help you in our support category! :)

I will also start giving donators extra benefits on CSMM. Check out the #unknown-channel channel.
In the future, more CSMM features will have extra perks for donators. Donations help me pay for hosting! ;)

and finally.. we must.. KILL BILL.

Sad to say, but his days are numbered! With CSMM now open to the public, everyone should move their chatbridge over to CSMM instead of Bill. I will send a message via Bill to all the leftover users when the time comes.

CSMM Update

I rolled these out the last couple of days, so here's an "official" announcement :D

Added the exec console command to discord
For server admins (not owners) to use this, they need to link their discord profile to CSMM in the 'Your profile' tab and be configured as admin on CSMM (see basic server settings)
Refactored the load player data function
Everyone should see much faster load times on the website for any player-related pages
multiple bugs fixed
'Last online' and "Country" is now also stored in the database and shown on player pages

Playerdata is now continually loaded and updated (whenever a player logs in/out, executes a command, when admins go to the website). To load ALL data at once there's a button for it on the player overview page. If you have a large server, this can take a (loooong :p) time. You don't need to use this button though, any relevant data will be loaded without it.

Setup is now done via webtokens instead of telnet.

Hey @everyone , 2 little announcements this time

CSMM updated

Player overview now has fancy tables (searching, pagination, exporting data, sorting)
Added a discord notification for country ban kicks
Added buttons to the discord settings interface
Commands now reply as PM instead of server wide messages
ingame command - $listtele public

Fixed a bug where disconnect notifs showed the first player in the list instead of the player who d/ced
Fixed a bug with public teleports not properly bound to a server

Since the beta test group for CSMM is getting kinda big, I will start using this channel for CSMM announcements aswell now.

I updated CSMM today, changes include

'status' discord command (rename of day7 command)
'toptime' discord command
Server owners can now configure people as server admin. These admins will have full access to the server via CSMM.
Some small fixes here and there

Check the settings page to configure these new features!

If you want to add admins to your server, send me a message with their steam profile because I have to modify the access list :).

If anyone has filled in the beta form but cannot access CSMM please send me a message, the form entries are a mess and I might've missed someone.

So it seems there's a bit of uncertainty about Bill. So I will hopefully clear it up with this announcement

Bill is deprecated. I am not working on this project anymore.

This means you should not expect updates, support or announcements when a function stops working.
You should expect things breaking, Bill going offline, ...

The only reason I am still hosting Bill is to bridge this transition period until CSMM is officially released.

Toptime is not working on the latest update of Allocs. To get this working again, two options:

Downgrade to the previous version of Allocs fixes - This has obvious negatives.
Fix the code yourself (Bill is open source, go wild)

I strongly suggest everyone to move away from my hosted instance and start hosting yourself if you want to continue using Bill.
You should consider my hosted instance unstable and it can go offline at any time.

If there are any people who'd like to continue working on Bill to fix bugs or even add features, I'm happy to help you get started working on the project and support any (open source!) forks of Bill

Heya everyone!

As you know, Bill is retiring soon! I've switched to hosting on a Raspberry PI now (you might've noticed he's gotten slower, it's not because of his age :D).

Hosting is going to be spotty on this, so here's some 'migration' information until CSMM is fully released

Best option:

Host bill yourself
I've made a final release with some info on how to run it yourself

Bill is really lightweight, you can run this alongside your server. I've even been able to run him on a shitty Android phone ;p (or on a RPI for 90 servers)

Our friends at letsdohosting are hosting an instance of Bill aswell! This'll be almost the same as using Bill regularly, but remember that hosting of this will not last forever
Keep using regular old Bill until his back gives out and he retires for real

As you may have noticed, there's been some hiccups with chat bridges recently. I think I found the problem (a network config issue on the VPS I'm hosting the bot). I fixed that, but I'll change some code for the bot to hopefully be more robust in getting the logs aswell :)

EDIT: also, the package I use for data is no longer maintained, so perhaps there's some new bugs there aswell, yay >.>. Will migrate to something else soon™️

Non-bot related update but just a heads up to what I've been working on since it's been pretty quiet here lately

Bill 2.0 (aka Catalysms server manager) is in full development now. Basic login/out, adding a server is working already. Once I feel the system is presentable I'll set up a beta for people to test (When? soon™️). Let me or Matt know if you'd be interested to try out this beta ;)

To support CSMM I made an open source module to interface with the 7 Days API. If you're interested in making something yourself or just wanna see some of Bills guts, I suggest checking this out! ;D

@everyone You can now configure what messages you want to see in your chat bridge. Due to how I programmed it, alot of configs defaulted to false for people who have a chat bridge already. So you'll have to run these commands to re-enable certain messages again, here's some examples of config

$ingamechat publicCommands (Msgs starting with !)
$igc privateCommands (Msgs starting with /)
$igc serverMessages (Msgs from the server, this will duplicate output when you talk in the channel)
$igc connectedMessages (player connects)
$igc disconnectedMessages (player disconnects)
$igc deathMessages (player deaths)
$igc billCommands (commands starting with the bill prefix, $ in this example)

See your current config with

$igc config

Yes, you saw it right! I'm planning to add ingame bill commands. Currently first up is a $admin command so that admins can get a discord notification when there are problems ingame. Soon ™️

Let me know if there's any problems with the chat bridge right now, I really want it to be as stable and easy to use as possible :D

Hello everyone! big update today!

First things first;
I've had to switch databases, so all guildconfig has to be redone. You can use one of two commands;
$init ServerIP webPort authName authToken
or
$setup ServerIp telnetPort telnetPassword

The new setup command will generate a auth token for you. If it gives an error, try adding your ControlPanelPort+2 from the serverconfig.xml as a 4th argument. So if the value in serverconfig is 8080, you add in 8082 to the command.

$setup serverIP telnetport telnetpassword ControlPanelPort+2

So, what changed? Well, huge performance increases. Better handling of simultaneous commands. General quality of my code is better now, from now on, updates will be easier for me :)

You might notice better error messages for wrong arguments aswell!

@here Update!

I finally polished the txt command! With this you can set custom commands which will reply with text.
Here's an example on how to set a txt file:

Possible arguments for the command:
set - sets a new text file
$txt set textname textmessage
delete - deletes a text file
$txt delete textname
reset - reset all text files to the default (Needless to say, pretty dangerous)
$txt reset
list - lists all currently configured text files
$txt list

I tried to make it as general as possible so you can use it for whatever you want; Server rules, IP addresses, list of coords, streamer links, general funny messages, ...

Messages can be maximum 1000 characters and you can set a maximum of 20 messages per guild.

@here Update!

New, better config system.
Usage now is

$set ip 192.168.0.1
$set port 1234
$set authName cata
$set authToken lysm

authName and authToken are config options for a future feature

Should work alot better than what I had before

Logging system adjusted (no real change for users...)

Command $botinfo now shows uptime aswell

In other news,
If the bot crashes now, there's a chance it'll reboot (depending on the type of error) yay!
