i had the same n nothing was listening. Maybe it needs to be set n listening before its open?
User f29893
only one close is 8090
User 602ca8
in windows you can open cmd and use
netstat -o shows all connects and portsUser 602ca8
once it works locally than you can port forward
User 602ca8
restart the server and try again locally
User 602ca8
change the cpm port to something else like
8097User 602ca8
you don't even have to worry about port forwarding at this stage
User 602ca8
than it's being used by someting else
User f29893
nothing only one that works on my local ip in browser is the mylocal:8090
User 602ca8
what happens when you paste this in your server browser?
http://127.0.0.1:8093User 602ca8
Did you try what i said?
User f29893
the only other servers i run is for ASE and there competly diff ports
User 602ca8
forget port checker for now
User f29893
telling me its closed on port checer
User 602ca8
If it doesn't than that port is being used by something else
User 602ca8
if cpm comes up than your port fowarding is incorrect
User 602ca8
you have to use it on the same pc your hosting the server from
User 602ca8
http://127.0.0.1:8093User 602ca8
now since you self host you can use localhost
User 602ca8
or it's not being port forwarded
User 602ca8
So you either have something else using
8093User 602ca8
If these are how you set the ports in the configs than it should work
User f29893
should mention running darknessfalls
User 602ca8
cpmsettings.xml and serverconfig.xml
User 602ca8
Just share the configs you have and hide any passwords you set. it's easier
User 2fc02a
it took me 3 days to find my issue, netgear added a checkbox for ??security?? i think, had to uncheck it and it worked
User 602ca8
No. Telnet can be used in cmd or program that supports it. It's quite dangerous to enable it. I have never enabled it, it can be used to execute commands
User f29893
8090 is set up like all the others but is the only one open
User f29893
no clue why the ports r closed
User 2fc02a
telnet is the game port, the players connect to it
User 602ca8
๐
User 2fc02a
ahhh its webdashboard port
User 2fc02a
telnet for me is 26902, and thats my csmm port
User 2fc02a
its the csmm command window?
User 602ca8
why would csmm use telnet?
User f29893
could just change my telenet port for game
User 2fc02a
csmm uses telnet, i had the same issue. was a setting in router
User 602ca8
if your the host than why are you using telnet?
User f29893
aparently there closed which is strange because check 92 was closed then checked it again min late was open
User f29893
me to lol
User 602ca8
I'm curious to what is accessing your telnet xD
User 2fc02a
yeah but use port checker on net
User 2fc02a
idk much bout self host, try in #cpm-support maybe they can help or #self-host-csmm-support
User 2fc02a
I don't need to, but self host may be diff. check your port n make sure its open for sure
User f29893
does game need to be restarted to take effect on changing ports
User f29893
ive got 5 ports open for the 90-95
User 2fc02a
then open the port lol. set it in cpmsettings lol
User f29893
i am the host ๐
User 2fc02a
the port is still wrong, it shouldn't be using telnet port i dont think. you can try different ports, do 8090-8096. any of those might work, if not maybe contact host
