Curious if this is happening to anyone else.

We run a 7dtd PVE server with player killing off. On v1.4 A player could (after a while) damage your vehicle and it would explode giving you maaaybe 3 or 4 damage.

On my new PVE server running v2.0 only a few carefully placed rounds from a pistol blows up the vehicle and kills the player.

Please change the reset system back to the way it used to be so that it needs a restart. The way it is now is just bad. The server freezes for about 2 minutes until it is completed and the players think the server is lagging badly which is not good for the reputation.

ah ok, that's talking about how blacks aren't true, deep blacks. VA apparently is really good for that. I'd still prefer poor contrast to green smears!

Anyone have an opinion on VA vs IPS monitors? A couple of years ago, I tried a 32" Samsung G51C which has a VA panel and turning my head in Minecraft left a green smear that was quite unpleasant, so I returned it. My Samsung G50A (27" 2K IPS) has been outstanding but is failing and I should be able to get it replaced under warranty. Trouble is that of the 14 screens this retailer carries, only one has an IPS panel 😦

I logged into FB this morning. There's a friend invite from the personal acct of my hairdresser. Sent her a message to her business acct. "Looks like someone's impersonating you. You might want to tell FB." She replied just now, "Actually that was me! I've lost a few customers this year and it's affected me because I didn't know their name or if or when there was a service. So it really was me adding you!" Not sure how I feel about it TBH. Never had someone tell me they didn't want to miss my funeral!

I saw that on a European server, there is a server that can clean the quests on the site and move the player from position, but that does not solve this problem

Isn't there a solution to handle these players without restarting the server?

Has anyone had a problem where players can't log in? If I teleport them to another position they can log in, but the game is still bugged. The only solution is when I restart the server.

I've done my good deed. I've rescued a cat family from the freeze of winter. Most should go to a nice home at some point, but I am not ready for pets, let alone six of them 😄

Yeah, that's what most people have been saying. After a weekend though, I'd had enough. The change from scavenging to real food was giving them tummy trouble and 5 untrained kittens were pooping in my house, everythere except the litter box. Fortunately the local shelter were able to give me a trap and some carriers. They're all now at the shelter. I spent 3 hours cleaning last night. I've gotten most of the "accidents" but my nose tells me I've missed some, or not adequately cleaned some.

Two kittens are a bit camera shy but I have all six (mama +5) inside now. I've spent $100 on food and litter. They're getting used to me but still won't let me touch them. Mealtimes now consist of 4-5 tiny voices trying to convince me that they won't last another hour without food, while mama tries to trip me. Shelter didn't have any traps available so they're house guests for the w/e. Hoping there'll be a trap available on Monday. Spent another $100 on a couple of pet carriers since I'll need to empty the trap a few times until I have them all in a bag.

If you want to do it with CSMM, it's quite easy. You just need to create a Custom Hook that triggers on "Player first time join".

Got it, I think I should have only 1 mod with dll, the rest just change XML. I'm going to change the company that hosts the VPS to test, I'm going to change to a VDS.

Unmodded vanilla is only designed to support 8 players 😦 I'd like to see a higher clock speed, e.g. in the 3.5+ range but at the end of the day, the problem is poor optimisation and potentially mods. If they're server side modlets that are only using XPATH reassignments they shouldn't have a substantial effect. If they're actual mod mods with dlls then there's no way to tell since we have no way to determine what that code is doing or how well it's writen.

Yeah for sure! Look up the 'noisy neighbours' problem. VPS are very prone to that

Also, double check that your disk is not the bottleneck, often overlooked :)
