as a local instance, i just leave CSMM_HOSTNAME=http://localhost:1337
according the documentation :
For a local server, use https://localhost. For an externally accessible server, use your domain i.e. https://example.com.
CSMM_HOSTNAME=https://localhost
Is this the problem ?
User bddf69
You'll need to set the CSMM_HOSTNAME env var to where your server is running

My server is self hosting CSMM (from DigitalOcean). We keep getting a domain error setting up the droplet, despite making the domain name on DuckDNS like the guide said. What are we doing wrong?

User 777603
i dont need server hosting but i did subscribe anyways 🙂
User 777603
got it, im working on figuring this out for the first time i appreciate the response
User 963f55
if you feel you have the ability to self host, you can use it for free, otherwise, yes a sub plan will grant you access to the hosted instances
User 777603
in order to integrate CSMM i need to sign up for a subscription plan correct?

I already set it up. Can I find documentation somewhere on how to add a remote server?

@User 22055452 I have the .env set up (except Steam/Discord codes), database linked and tables created, nginx and certificates and a page on port 8080, but it's not working for me.
User 0f9874
Thank you very much.
User bddf69
Yep

So far I'm following this: https://docs.csmm.app/en/csmm/self-host/host.html#installing-node-js

Good. So on the pterodactyl I added an egg for 7D2D and started the server. The server is working. I am currently planning to implement the CSMM website according to your documentation. So can I link this site to the server and it will work?
User bddf69
Why not post it here?
User 0f9874
Would you have a moment to private message me please?
User bddf69
CSMM can ONLY manage remote servers and CSMM does not do any server-hosting itself
User bddf69
Reminds me of a famous quote by Abraham Lincoln: don't believe everything you read on the internet 😉
User 0f9874
I found on the Internet that CSMM cannot manage a remote server, but one that was created in CSMM.
User bddf69
Yep, CSMM does exactly that ;)
User 0f9874
Hello. For a long time I have been looking for a web panel to manage my 7D2D server. I have 7D2D done via Pterodactyl on my Virtual Dedicated Server. Can you please advise me if CSMM will help me?
What I want is to be able to manage my server through a web panel, with the 7D2D server running on Pterodactyl.
Thank you for your help. ❤️

User bc7dd2
Well I figured it out
User bc7dd2
It looks like I'm actually getting the following error:
[app] error: Steam auth error - Failed to verify assertion (message: Invalid or replayed nonce)

I can't get CORS to work to save my life
User bc7dd2
Anyone have experience getting CSMM to work behind NGINX Proxy Manager?
User 891d38
Ah, I just realized there is a cpmsettings file in the saves directory that allows setting of a port. Mine was set to the same as my telnet port.
User ac19fb
I try it tomorrow
User 891d38
I'm a little confused about the livemap. It shows up on the same port as the web dashboard now (I think it used to be 2 ports up). But if I open that port up so that players can access the livemap, won't they also have access to my server dashboard?
Is there a way to have the livemap run on a different port? Or is it safe for players to be able to access the dashboard?
User 891d38
26900 is probably your server port. Look lower down in your serverConfig.ini file for WebDashboardPort. That's the port that you want to use.
User 23fa64
I think you are talking about CPM, but I think there is some stuff getting lost in translation.
User 23fa64
Did you do this?
