hello i try this :
Via serverconfig.xml The port is the same as the WebDashboardPort. Find that value and in your browser go to http://:/legacymap. If you see the Allocs webmap, you've found the correct port! It's possible that this method is not accurate if you are renting your server from a game hosting company. The port in your serverconfig.xml is not always correct!
i cant open this site 185.240.243.38:26900/legacymap.

Generally, first-come first serve but we do discriminate and let people who are active and power users in earlier
User be441f
is the takaro waitlist random?
User 4d3b45
@User 22055452 i think i'm close to figuring it out. pretty sure you were right and it was just network shenannigans.

User bddf69
Yep that should do it
User bddf69
Not sure, I wont be adding that to CSMM anymore though... Takaro has priority
User bddf69
And in CSMM logs anything? It'll just show a connection error probably though...
User be441f
Do I just edit csmm_version in /etc/?
User be441f
Thanks, new to linux to be honest, where do I find the files of CSMM in the one click installation?

Gotcha. Do you think it would be difficult to add a functionality that would make join/leave messages optional for the chatbridge channel?
User 4d3b45
just this
User bddf69
Did you look at the message inside the 400? Or your CSMM logs might have more details too
User 4d3b45
is there a demo running somewhere perhaps?
User 4d3b45
that will eliminate the 7dtd server as a potential problem
User 4d3b45
i want to see if someone can add my game server to their csmm temporarily
User 4d3b45
but i can curl and ping the server and anything else from within the csmm docker
User 4d3b45
it 400's every time exactly the same way
User 4d3b45
yes, it doens't matter what ip i put in there, or port
User bddf69
192.168.x.x
User bddf69
CSMM and 7d2d are on the same network right? Can you try using your internal IP to connect them?
User bddf69
Gotcha
User 4d3b45
it's the data that's being sent in this
User bddf69
I'm not sure what I'm looking at :p
User 4d3b45
anything abnormal about this?
User 4d3b45
"_csrf": "30UstTID-RxTOYeNaDXxf9SHsp1xtIsYj7OU", "serverName": "server", "serverIp": "170.203.xx.xx", "webPort": 8080, "authName": "token", "authToken": "tokenpass123", "serverUrl": "http://mydomain:8080/app" }```
User 4d3b45
one more question while yo'ure here
User bddf69
Yep indeed. That's not a problem
There would be a problem if you run CSMM and your 7days server on the same port (but that's not the case)
User bddf69
Make sure you set your donator tier on your self hosted instance https://github.com/CatalysmsServerManager/7-days-to-die-server-manager/blob/master/.env.example.docker#L6
User 4d3b45
so if this is running on port 8080, and CSMM is trying to connect to that port, that's how it's supposed to be right?
User be441f
How do I allow more datapoints to save?
Server has been up since 25/07 seems like every few days playtime etc just wipes. Self hosted

User 4d3b45
this is running on port 8080
User bddf69
I'm not sure I follow your question, CSMM AND your 7d2d server both need to be running to be able to connect both of them
User bddf69
chat bridge already has join/leave messages. You can disble rich message to make the chatbridge join/leaves less huge
User 4d3b45
if CSMM connects to the same port the servers web interface thing is on, can it be running? do i have to disable it?
User 7e3e7e
I have #channel1 set to chat bridge and #channel2 set for connection/disconnection notifications in my csmm. However when players are connecting the message is duplicated and shown on both #channel1 and #channel2. Is there any way to set it up so it shows only on #channel2? Am I missing something?

I gave up on the self-hosting (for now) and donated to get the cloud version. I followed a few guides for reverse proxy but it always failed. 😞

User 4d3b45
cool. i run oepenWRT on my router and i was thinking there ought to be a way to do the proxy stuff with the router
User a00a50
Thanks! I’ll give it a shot with Caddy. I noticed that there is a caddy plugin for OPNsense which I run on my router.
User 4d3b45
*btw
User 4d3b45
bwt, NPM also has a one click easy SSL cert creator
User 4d3b45
reason i say that, if you also have trouble, i can help you get NPM working at least
User 4d3b45
@User 65459687 i couldn't get caddy working, the only reverse proxy i was able to get working is NPM
User bddf69
Exactly!
User a00a50
I did yes. So the proper way to do it would be to setup reverse proxy with e.g. Caddy?
User bddf69
You need to either set it to http (insecure) or set it to a proper odmain name
User bddf69
Do you have CSMM_HOSTNAME set to
https://192.168.8.15 ?User a00a50
So onto the next issue 😄 I can open the the web interface, after clicking the Get Started, I get directed to the steamcommunity page where I'm requested to log in to my steam account. But after clicking Sign In I get the following:
