i get that..
User bddf69
Since you weren't able to log in before, you never saw it
User bddf69
'add server' only shows when you are logged in
User 180de5
is add server dependant on the server config?
User 180de5
maybe the server was not setup correctly?
User 180de5
this morning before I did this
User 180de5
though i made some changes to the 7d2d server config
User 180de5
weird
User 180de5
was able to login to steam and the add server came up
User 180de5

User 180de5
User 180de5

User bddf69
Then go to your browser address bar, copy the URL that's there and then paste that as value of
CSMM_HOSTNAMEUser 180de5

User bddf69
Okay, I understand. Can you try the following please.
Browse to your local CSMM until you see this screen (it's the homepage)

User 180de5

User bddf69
I see you are using https, do you have a certificate configured?
User 180de5
I added the port to the IP, tried both ways port and not port on the IP address
User bddf69
Judging by what you posted here, I think it should be something like
http://10.5.1.50:1337User bddf69
CSMM_HOSTNAME should reflect how you are accessing CSMM via the browser. Can you post the exact value of CSMM_HOSTNAME please?User 180de5
i tried localhost as well,, same issue
User 180de5
all in my network
User 180de5
I am using csmm_hostname 10.5.1.50 port is 1337 .. I can browse to the site and try to connect a server. Steam login comes up and when it returns i get that meaasge
User bddf69
How do you access CSMM from your browser? What's the URL that works? And what is the value of your
CSMM_HOSTNAME var?User 180de5
Catalysm, I have a localhost setup and have tried both IP address and localhost, neither work. Do I need to have a FQDN setup?
User bddf69
For context, when you login via Steam, CSMM has to tell Steam where to redirect the user back after auth. That redirect URL is defined at
${CSMM_HOSTNAME}/auth/steam/returnUser bddf69
Your CSMM_HOSTNAME env variable is probably still pointing at localhost. Change it to use your FQDN and you should be good :)
User 963f55
did you set up the bot via discord dev page? and did you update the .env file?
User 180de5
any ideas?
User 180de5
Good Evening, new csmm install and when I try to add a server, it asks me to sign into steam when it returns it fails. it is trying to access my localhost auth/steam/return? says it can't be found

In
/etc/csmm_version you'll find a variable called CSMM_VERSION. Change that, then restart the systemd service and you'll get updated :)User 392ae3
Hi guys! How can I update CSMM if I am self hosting? Im at digital ocean.

Nice!
User 6ceaf4
Using her phone allowed her to get in. Thanks

User 6ceaf4
I'll ask her
User bddf69
And did she try a different browser? It could be some extension messing with how the data gets passed from Steam to CSMM
User 6ceaf4
main page -> steam button -> confirm - > error
User 6ceaf4
That is what she did
User bddf69
And how are they trying to log in? Can you ask them to try going to the main page (eg https://us.csmm.app) and then logging in via the steam button there?
(so not a direct link to link Discord or smth like that)

User.
It is all there but a blank discordId
| createdAt | updatedAt | id | steamId | discordId | username | avatar | admin | banned |It is all there but a blank discordId
User bddf69
You'd need to make sure a user entry is there
