You probably need something like this in your serveradmin.xml

If you're worried about stuff crashing and not coming back up, you can add healthchecks. Docker will detect and restart the container if the check starts to fail

Our game servers run in Docker containers though and process monitoring becomes a huge PITA for that. I'll have to figure out the query protocol for ASA lol

Yeah that might be an option. Can add RCON connections through the dev kits for sure.

I've no experience with those games but I made the connector as light weight as possible. It should be possible to make a connector for lots of games ๐
Another option you can do is write a little process that sits next to the gameserver. That process talks to takaro via the websocket but pulls data from the game with rcon/telnet/whatever-the-game-supports

Would love to make a connector for Conan Exiles and Ark Ascended if it's possible. Might be dev kit limited in those though since I think both restrict use of C++ in the dev kit and make you use Blueprints. :/

You could totally go and make a Palworld, Ark, whatever mod right now, and get it 100% functional with Takaro without needing to do anything in the official Takaro codebase

Those are in the takaro org but they could have been in any personal account too. The whole point of the generic connector is that anyone can make mods for any game now. As long as it correctly implements the defined interface, it will just 'click' into Takaro and work :)

The port we use for both Takaro and CSMM is server+2, which is the built in web API. I think TFP bought Alloc's code from him some time ago and integrated it as their own mods, around the same version that the vanilla Web API was added. I'm actually not sure anymore what function Alloc's even serves, but we use it regardless lol

Yeah that's nice, if we do add support for a new game do we have to merge that into the main Takaro repo to use it? Or is there a plugins feature getting added to Takaro to support that?
